Mental Health includes a wide range of issues, from dealing with daily stress to living with a major mental illness. MHATC is here to help you, whether you want to learn how to stay mentally healthy or about specific mental illnesses such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder or schizophrenia. We have brochures, information/fact sheets, speakers, workshops and seminars on almost any mental health issue from childhood all the way through the retirement years. See our calendar and find out what is happening this month at MHATC and in your community, or contact us for information, literature, to register for a class, or to request a speaker for your group. All classes are free and open to the public - we hope that you will come!

Online Autism Course!
Autism Spectrum Disorders have grown to be a social, economic, and health crisis around the world. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC, 2001) now estimates that the autism occurs in 1 of every 166 births. It is the fastest growing developmantal disability, but is often misunderstood and misdiagnosed as a variety of other mental health and developmental disorders. With current annual costs of autism-related treatments at an estimated $90 billion and an estimated growth of $34 billion each year (ASA 2003), it is imperative that mental health professionals become aware of the array of autism spectrum disorders from the very mild to severe. This course offers and opportunity to learn more about each part of the autism sptectrum. Autism is treatable, and early, appropriate intervention is key.
