January 15, 2010 Local Warrior Support Program Funded Mental Health Association receives grant from the Meadows Foundation
Fort Worth, TX-The Mental Health Association of Tarrant County (MHATC) announced the funding of a new program, the Warrior Support Program. The Meadows Foundation granted $100,000 to support the first responders in Tarrant County. Military personnel are not the only group at risk for mental health issues arising from exposure to trauma. Our local first responders also often suffer with traumatic stress disorders. see the full release

Mental Health of America of Texas Receives Grant to Promote Boarding Homes Reforms in Texas
AUSTIN, Texas - Mental Health America of Texas and six affiliate chapters will work with Texas policy makers to write new model regulatory standards for boarding houses and promote their adoption in six Texas communities, with the help of a $96,769 grant from the Hogg Foundation for Mental Health. link to full release
