Online Autism Course!

Autism Spectrum Disorders have grown to be a social, economic, and health crisis around the world. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC, 2001) now estimates that the autism occurs in 1 of every 166 births. It is the fastest growing developmantal disability, but is often misunderstood and misdiagnosed as a variety of other mental health and developmental disorders. With current annual costs of autism-related treatments at an estimated $90 billion and an estimated growth of $34 billion each year (ASA 2003), it is imperative that mental health professionals become aware of the array of autism spectrum disorders from the very mild to severe. This course offers and opportunity to learn more about each part of the autism sptectrum. Autism is treatable, and early, appropriate intervention is key. Learn more about autism spectrum disorders today! This is a fabulous course offered to the communty free of charge. CEU's for social workers, LPC's, LMFT's and Nursing Type II are available for $25.
